I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a certified math educator in the state of Minnesota.

Teaching & Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years of experience teaching math in classroom settings (Grades 6–12), and I currently serve as a math coach and curriculum writer. I’ve worked one-on-one with students from Grades 2–12 and with adult learners in both tutoring and coaching settings. I have provided professional development for K–12 teachers and administrators, both locally and nationally.

Teaching Methods

My approach focuses on conceptual understanding — helping students see why math works the way it does. I tailor lessons to the needs and learning style of each student, building confidence and encouraging a positive mindset toward math. I use a blend of hands-on strategies, visuals, and real-world applications, and I incorporate elements of financial literacy where appropriate.
