COLLEGE COUNSELING
My students have earned admissions to schools like Stanford, Cornell, UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, Rice, Duke, UT Austin and more (see successes below).
I coach seniors applying this cycle, juniors preparing early, and freshman/sophomores deciding on extracurriculars.
My 4 Steps for Success:
👣 Discover: Answer “What energizes me?” not “What do colleges want to see?”
💪🏼 Execute: Turn your interests into action: personal projects, summer programs, and internships.
✍🏼 Document: Track what you’ve done: people helped, how you felt, and skills gained.
🗣 Frame: We develop your stories into your personal statements.
This framework has helped dozens of students find extracurriculars, select schools, and write essays with clarity and conviction.
✅ Successes:
East Coast: Cornell • Duke • Vanderbilt • Colby • Pace • Fordham
California: Stanford • UCLA • UC Berkeley • USC • Claremont McKenna • UCSD • UCI
Texas: Rice • UT Austin • SMU • TCU • Texas A&M • UT Dallas • Texas Tech
TUTORING
I am trained in the Mathnasium Method, a teaching philosophy that emphasizes building upon preexisting knowledge. During my 3 years as a Mathnasium Instructor, I taught hundreds of students ages 5 to 17, concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced trigonometry. I improved 90% of students' grades and 93% of students' attitudes towards math.
When meeting I new student, I usually:
1) Ask them to solve problems independently to determine their level of knowledge.
2) Compare their current level to homework/exams. If they are behind, we work to fill in the learning gaps. If they exceed the target level, I ask questions to challenge them.
