"I graduated valedictorian from my high school and am currently a freshman at Duke University hoping to study economics and public policy. I am passionate about law and teaching and hope to attend law school in the future.

When I was younger, I always struggled as a student. The methods my teachers used did not supplement my learning and I was forced to find ways that allowed me to understand the knowledge I was presented in the classroom. When I first got involved with tutoring, I tried to use unconventional ways to teach my students to fit their style of learning. From watching videos to utilizing art and even video games, I try to make teaching fun and allow kids to learn in the ways best suited to them.

Through the JCC youth tutoring program in New York City, I tutored two students starting in the 3rd and 1st grades and helping them both until the 5th and 3rd grades, respectively. Due to covid restrictions, the meetings were held over Zoom. I also was a teaching assistant for my high school's math department, assisting with classes such as geometry, algebra 1, and precalculus. These classes were held in person. Finally, I was a teaching assistant at my temple where I helped 1st grade students in the classroom and stayed with them from the 5th grade.
