"Hi, my name is Gavin, and I am a recent high school graduate. I graduated with honors and a 100 GPA from a rigorous, all-boys, Catholic high school. Throughout my time in school, I have helped countless friends and other students in a variety of subjects, but I specialize in math and science. Since I was young, I would always go around helping my classmates, or back then, just giving them the answers, because I did not know any other way to teach them. Throughout middle and high school, I have had friends call me at random hours asking me for help in math or chemistry, and I would stay up late to make sure that they understood everything. In high school, I joined the National Honor Society, and one requirements of joining was tutoring younger students in my school. This gave me great experience tutoring people who were not friends or family. I have never worked as a professional tutor (besides my friend paying me $10 to stay up until midnight to help with math homework), but my passion and aptitude for learning and teaching make me a great fit for this job. Besides my experiences, my other qualifications are that I have taken Calculus II, scoring a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams, as well as the AP Chemistry exam. I scored a 1530 on the SAT, 790 on the Math Section, and a 34 on the ACT, 35 on the Math Section. I have excelled in math and science all my life, and my accomplishments have gotten me into the University of Notre Dame, where I will be studying Chemical Engineering this coming fall. I am a young, sociable, relatable, energetic, and qualified tutor for all elementary, middle, or high school-aged kids and would love to get the opportunity to help kids see the beauty of learning and turn their nights of frustration, crying over homework into nights of laughter, enjoyment, and learning." less...
