"Hi! I am a biomedical engineer with a background in biomechanics and cancer research. I have also taken the MCAT and am well versed in those topics. I have completed a Bachelor's of Science degree at Drexel University in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics. While at Drexel, I also minored in Biological Sciences and completed a Certificate Degree in Entrepreneurship. I worked in multiple research labs during my undergraduate experience focusing on a variety of subjects including stem cells, cancer, neurological wound healing, and ontogenetic stimulation. I currently perform research on Drosophila Melonogaster in the testes niche studying stem cell dedifferentiation and how that relates to cancer utilizing the JAK/STAT pathway. I previously tutored at Mathnasium helping elementary school kids to learn math, using those skills to perform some tutoring during my university experience helping other students to learn biology and math for classes I had already taken. This includes calculus and differential equations work. During high school I completed advanced classes in math and technology, along with achieving a 33 on my ACT. Through my lab work and the amount of tutoring I have done, I have learned about great resources and techniques to use to learn new material or to focus on review for whatever purpose the student needs. I am personable and love discussing exactly what strategies are needed to get a student into the flow of learning." less...
