"I am Adrian. I am a licensed secondary science teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Nevada, as well as graduate degrees in Philosophy of Science and Biblical Studies (with a focus on archaeology and anthropology of ancient Palestine). My teaching experience includes general and honors-level high school science courses, such as Biology and Environmental Science. I completed my student teaching at a High School in Colorado and have worked as both a substitute and long-term sub in Douglas County schools. I specialize in helping students understand complex scientific concepts through hands-on methods that foster curiosity and critical thinking. I want learning to be enjoyable for students and not tedious.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have a strong background in working with students with learning differences, including those with autism and OCD—conditions I personally understand. I’ve presented at national and regional science education conferences on the challenges students with disabilities face in STEM and how to support them effectively. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence as they master science.
