"Hello! My name is Mallory and I am a tutor specializing in secondary and post-secondary English and History/Social Studies/Political Science. I earned my B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University and am currently finishing up my Master's in Secondary Education. In addition, I have worked as a corporate/M&A paralegal for many years and have extensive experience with research and academic writing as well a deep knowledge and passion for all things history and government!

I fully believe that all students are capable of learning and that achieving this is really matter of determining HOW to best resonate content with a student; being open to adjustments and modifications for the individual and taking time to figure out each student's learning style supports long-term academic success.

I am a grammar fanatic! I find order in language the way that many do in math. I have also spent my professional life researching and writing, so I am very familiar with this process. In addition to my aptitude for composition, I love to read and I have great appreciate and interest in the literary side of language arts. I feel confident that I can pass along some of my knowledge and passion for language to my students.

As I mentioned before, I majored in Political Science and I love history. My Master's work is concentrated on social studies and American government instruction according to the Arizona History and Social Studies Standards developed by the Arizona Department of Education. My successful passage of the NES History Exam demonstrates my mastery of knowledge in this content area and aligns with Arizona curriculum standards. I am able to support students in their studies related to American History, World History, Geography, Arizona History and American Government/Politics.
