"I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, History, and Philosophy & Religion, along with a minor in Jewish & Middle Eastern Studies. I am a high school Social Studies teacher in North Carolina, and have taught World History, Civic Literacy, and American History. My coursework included extensive study in American government, constitutional law, political theory, and U.S. history, which directly aligns with the subjects I tutor.

I have been a full-time classroom teacher working with high school students (ages 14–19). My teaching responsibilities include designing lessons, delivering instruction, supporting struggling learners, providing differentiated materials, and assessing mastery of state standards. I also regularly work with inclusion students and students with ADHD, so I am experienced in scaffolding reading and writing skills for all ability levels.

My approach focuses on building the core skills students need to succeed in Social Studies: reading comprehension, primary source analysis, DBQ writing, thesis structure, multiple-choice reasoning, and study strategies. I use a structured “Model → Guide → Practice” method, breaking concepts down into clear steps, providing examples, then supporting students as they apply the skills independently.

I work daily with 30+ students in a high school classroom environment, and I have provided one-on-one and small-group academic support both inside and outside of class.
