"I'm Luis! I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a teaching certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio. As you can tell, math is a subject I love learning about because you think you know everything about a particular concept and then you'll realize that its only the foundation of something greater. Ironically, having the foundation is a challenge for some students. The student might believe that he/she doesn't understand anything about the concept. I believe every student is capable of understanding any concept so I do my best introducing a concept in a questionnaire way, then explicitly teach the material. Afterwards, letting the student practice on his/her own to build confidence.

For a semester, I was a geometry student teacher at the high school I graduated from. I took over most of the responsibilities from cooperating teacher. This included: lesson planning, grading, etc. My cooperating teacher was only able to conduct tutoring sessions once a week so I took it upon myself to conduct more tutoring sessions after school Tuesday through Friday for any math student.
