"Hello, my name is Drew and I am excited for the opportunity to help students improve and develop in the field of science - whether it's homework help, test prep, or just review of class/independent material, I am here to support your learning!

I recently graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biology with Honors back in December 2024, and worked as an Organic Chemistry Teaching/Lab Assistant and Student Mentor for the Psychology LAUNCH department.

Working for the WSU Chemistry Department as a teaching assistant, I facilitated small lectures for groups of up to 30 students and held weekly tutoring sessions for students in my course section going over the course material. Here, I consistently scored higher marks in student satisfaction reviews compared to my fellow teaching assistants, which I attribute to my teaching/tutoring style that focuses on breaking down complex problems into manageable steps using visual aids and real-life examples to make difficult or abstract concepts make sense for students.

During High School I was also apart of a specialized International Baccalaureate (IB) program (Renaissance High School - Meridian, ID), accumulating 42 college level credits and earning my national Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license, while also being a member of the school's math and science after school tutor program where I focused on tutoring IB Math and Chemistry.

I enjoy helping students build academic confidence and am looking for students wanting to improve in high school or college-level chemistry, biology, math, or general science. I am currently based in Shoreline, WA and am available to meet in-person, or online via zoom, for one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
