"I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling and Life Coaching, which gives me a unique perspective on how students learn, process, and build confidence. I believe strong reading and writing skills aren’t just about academics; they’re about finding your voice and learning how to express it clearly and confidently.

For the past 8 years, I’ve taught high school English as a Special Education teacher and spent over 14 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I’ve worked with students from all kinds of backgrounds and learning styles, including those who’ve struggled with reading comprehension, writing structure, or just believing in themselves as learners.

As an English teacher, I have experience with essay writing as part of the core high school curriculum. I’ve guided students through writing clear, structured essays for assignments, exams, and college preparation. With a strong foundation in academic writing from my college studies, I help students build confidence and master the skills needed to express their ideas effectively.

My sessions are designed to make reading and writing less intimidating and a lot more approachable. I break things down step by step, helping students understand how to structure their thoughts, build stronger essays, and develop real skills that show up in their grades and everyday communication. Most importantly, I help them feel comfortable using their authentic voice, not just writing what they think they “should” say.
