"Hi! My name is Paula. I have been a proud NYC public school teacher since 2014.

I graduated magna cum laude from Kalamazoo College with a major in English. I was accepted to the NYC Teaching Fellows and earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. I spent my first two years of teaching at a middle school, and I worked in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms. I have primarily taught 9th and 10th grade though. I have worked with students with diverse learning needs since the beginning of my career.

I have also participated in exceptional professional development through Stanford University as a Hollyhock Fellow, Eskolta as a Leading Fellow, Harvard Graduate School of Education as a Data Wise Leadership Institute Participant, and Columbia University.
