"I have taught high school English, ESL, and Reading for 13 years in a public school setting. I have experience with high stakes testing and with special needs students. I am National Board Certified. I have worked at Appalachian State University's reading clinic to help struggling readers get up to speed, in addition to working privately with struggling readers. I am an excellent writing teacher. I am particularly gifted at engaging reluctant learners. I have taught SAT prep and AP English courses."
