"I'm a retired Engineer who has transitioned to a new career as a tutor. My specialties area math, chemistry and physics 6-12th grade. I enjoy the challenge of helping students figure out the material and problems themselves by asking the right question at the right time. I tailor my style to the specific students learning style. I guide them through the material rather than doing it for them.

I've been a homework helper volunteer at the Beaverton Library for the past year and have coached my 2 daughters through high school in math and science. Both have graduated college with STEM related degrees and have started their careers. Prior to tutoring, I was an engineering manager for over 20 years during which time I learned the value of active listening.
