"My main focus as a tutor is understanding how a student learns best. I have taught in high schools for 9 years. As a teacher, I realize the necessity of being goal-oriented and focusing on learning objectives. I have experience in teaching and tutoring at different levels.

I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a degree in psychology and a minor in Japanese. I also hold a Master’s in Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I am certified to teach social studies for grades 7–12 in Texas and am also certified in Oregon. Before teaching full-time, I tutored Japanese for students ranging from age 12 to college level. I especially enjoy creating personalized, detailed plans to help students succeed—particularly when traditional schooling doesn’t quite fit their needs. I would love to help all students succeed, and I have worked extensively with students with all different types of needs.
