"I am an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester. Having lived in New York all my life, I have extensive personal experience with Common Core, New York Regents, Honors, and Advanced Placement curricula. Throughout my academic career, I have found myself excelling easily in some subjects while struggling to keep up in others. However, the classes in which I had the most difficulty became the ones in which I ultimately had the most success in: physics, math, and the natural sciences. I was only able to achieve this through the support I received from teachers and peers and, eventually, by providing the same support to fellow students.
Graduating with Honors and as a member of the National Honor Society, I know that thriving in academia is not easy. Even if you struggle, the choices you make to overcome obstacles are what matter most. I can meet you or your scholar wherever they areāfrom getting ahead of the curve by learning material before it appears in the classroom or targeting specific gaps in understanding. That being said, I am happy to work with you to shape what tutoring will look like so that you are able to get the most out of our time together.
As much as I wish it were, being knowledgeable is not the only requirement for academic success. Demonstrating your understanding of the material through homework, papers, and exams is another challenge entirely. In addition to content, I can also help refine test-taking and writing skills so that students are able to get the most out of the time and effort.
I am available Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST. Ideally, I can accept cancellations at least 8 hours in advance and last-minute sessions on a case-by-case basis." less...
