"Hi! I’m Eric. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Neuroscience, and I’m currently in a gap year before applying to medical school. I have a strong academic background in chemistry—earning a 5 on AP Chemistry, A’s in USC’s general chemistry series (Chem 105A & 105B), and A’s in organic chemistry. I also recently took the MCAT and scored a 521, which reflects my strong foundation in the sciences.

I’m offering tutoring for high school chemistry and AP Chemistry. My goal is to help students build both confidence and mastery in the subject. Sessions can include reviewing class material, preparing for quizzes and exams, breaking down difficult concepts, and practicing with supplemental worksheets and problem sets that I will provide. I prioritize understanding over memorization and like to teach students how to think like chemists, not just solve problems.

In terms of tutoring experience, I’ve tutored peers throughout college and spent the past year working with elementary school students in the South Central Los Angeles area, teaching fun, hands-on science activities to spark curiosity. While I am newer to formal AP Chemistry tutoring, I am quick to adapt, receptive to feedback, and dedicated to continuously improving my teaching approach based on each student’s needs.

I believe the best learning environment is collaborative and encouraging. Parents and students are always welcome to share feedback so we can tailor lessons to support the student’s goals, whether that's improving grades, preparing for the AP exam, or simply gaining confidence in chemistry.
