"Hi, I'm Jesse! I’m a senior at Central Michigan University majoring in Integrated Science for Secondary Education. My degree has allowed me to study many scientific disciplines in depth. I have studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Astronomy, which has given me both a broad and well-rounded understanding of science as a whole. I'm also part of the STEM Ed Scholars program, a professional development initiative that prepares future science educators through workshops, hands-on teaching experience, and mentorship.

I’ve worked with students from Kindergarten through college, and I truly enjoy adapting my teaching style to meet the needs of different age groups. I have 2 years of experience tutoring one-on-one, mainly online. I currently substitute teach in local schools every Friday, where I get to work with a variety of grade levels and learning styles. I’ve tutored students in Earth Science, Geology, and Environmental Science most often, but I am also confident in helping students with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy. I strongly believe in making science approachable and engaging by connecting it to real-world examples and using whatever learning style and method works best for my individual students.
