"Hi, I'm Henry! I'm a sophomore student at the University of Pittsburgh, currently double majoring in biochemistry and physics. Since high school, I've had a passion for teaching others and helping them achieve their educational goals. I started as a SAT tutor, but once in college, I began tutoring my peers, helping them to get accustomed to the academic rigor of their introductory courses. I spent many late nights teaching chemistry, calculus, biology, and physics, allowing me to hone my teaching style and efficiency. In my tutoring approach, I've found it helpful to first relate the subject to a fun or exciting idea, using analogy to illustrate the foundational concepts, before slowly but surely working up to more advanced topics and problems. Afterwards, I leave time for independent work, remaining available in case the student continues to struggle. Of course, this approach can be fine-tuned and adjusted for different students and subjects.

I have one year of experience teaching SAT math and one year teaching introductory college courses in STEM, with most of my lessons being one-on-one sessions curated to the individual.
