Additional specialized training in dyslexia advocacy and Orton Gillingham instruction for dyslexic learners through the Dyslexia Training Institute in San Diego, CA, as well as a Master of Arts in Education, she has extensive experience as both a general education classroom teacher and as a special education resource specialist having taught all grades at both the elementary and middle school levels.

Sara individualizes instruction to adapt to the needs of each child by completing a comprehensive initial assessment on each student in order to effectively target instruction at your student’s appropriate level. Sara is a certified Orton Gillingham Dyslexia Specialist through Brainspring. She has taught thousands of hours and received hundreds of hours of specialized training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to work with dyslexic and struggling readers. She currently works as a full-time Resource Specialist in Special Education in addition to tutoring privately online.
