"My approach is to believe in the capabilities of my students and to give them all the support they need to become the best of what they want to be. I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching in Business and Language. I have taught many children to read. My students experience a teacher who is patient and committed. Active learning, in which the student learns, not only, theory, but also, the application of concepts in real life, is very important to me. I want students to be able to use what they have learned. I teach because I get so much out of watching students learn and grow. I look forward to working with students to achieve their goals.

My experience in teaching and tutoring students in language skills is what qualifies me for this work. Beyond experience, I understand what students struggle with when learning to read, write, and speak in their native language and in a second language. I have experience helping students to overcome hurdles and to develop the confidence that makes it possible for them to continue to learn. Focusing on the student's reason for learning is a primary objective for me. It might be to do better in school, get a new job, pass a test or improve their social interactions. I am here to help with what is important to the student.

I do have two degrees in Business, a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in international business. Yes, that helps to qualify me to teach these subjects. Beyond that, I have been teaching Business Administration and Management for over 15 years. I also have a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an Emphasis on Adult Learning. I have focused my learning on how to prepare students for real-world professions. I have studied learning extensively, how it happens and more importantly why. I focus on what my students hope to accomplish. I hold standards high and do everything in my power to support them in achieving their goals through education.
