"I am highly motivated to increase my student's interest in their studies, helping them become enthusiastic while studying and learning the subject/curriculum at hand, then putting their newly learned topic, objective, and standard, into action through an application. I have many years of teaching in a self-contained classroom setting, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade core areas. I also have extensive knowledge of Test Preparation, Photography, Religion-based practices, Acting, and experience working with special education students, At-Risk Intervention.

Inside the classroom or Home school instruction, I am partial to teaching through experimentation, projects, and real-world application; project-based learning.

I teach toward the Common Core requirements and the New Generation standards of the state.

I am proficient in Reading, English Language Arts, and Communication. I work with the student a lot in regards to the writing process, the different forms of writing, tools of learning, improving spelling and grammar, fluency when reading, comprehension, fiction, non-fiction, note-taking, reading Social Studies and Science, etc.

I am permanently certified Pre K thru 6 in the state of N.Y.
