"I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Education and am a certified Social Studies teacher for grades 6–12 in the state of Florida. My passion for history and education has shaped my professional path, as I have spent more than five years teaching in both classroom and non-traditional settings. During this time, I have worked with students ranging in age from preschool to just beyond high school, giving me a broad understanding of how to adapt lessons to suit different developmental stages and learning styles.
My teaching experience includes designing and implementing detailed lesson plans and curricula tailored to the schools I have taught in, ensuring that students not only met academic requirements but also developed deeper critical thinking skills. I have used both conventional methods, such as structured classroom instruction, and unconventional approaches, such as hands-on activities, interactive discussions, and real-world applications of historical concepts, to engage students. In addition to classroom teaching, I have tutored in both one-on-one and group settings, allowing me to focus on individual student needs while also fostering collaborative learning environments. This range of experiences has helped me develop strategies for supporting students at different levels of understanding, whether they are struggling with foundational concepts or looking to challenge themselves further.
I believe my background equips me well to tutor in the areas of history, social studies, and related fields. My combination of formal education, certification, and diverse teaching experience has prepared me to provide clear, effective, and engaging instruction. Just as importantly, my love for reading and studying history allows me to inspire enthusiasm in my students and help them see the value of learning beyond the classroom." less...
