"I began college as a secondary education-history major. 8 years later, I graduated with a B.S. in history. I love teaching people, of all ages, anything and everything I know; and, I'm stealing this from Geek Squad for whom I used to work, if I don't know something, I will find out. I recently took the PRAXIS II: Social Studies: Content Knowledge and scored a 176, high enough to teach in every state by at least 14 points.

In high school, I took APUSH & APEuroH; coincidentally the exams were back-to-back that year (2004), which is why I still say I would have gotten a 5 on both, rather than the 4 I actually earned, had the exams taken place on separate days. I took the SAT 5 times, with my first and lowest score being a 1260 my sophomore year and my highest composite score being a 1430 (770 Math & 660 Verbal).

I will strive to help you achieve your potential. I do request that you send me specifics regarding what it is that you need help with (colonial America, the Renaissance, etc.) at least 72 hours before our scheduled session so I can better prepare. I do have a 16 hour cancellation policy but will of course be as accommodating as possible in rescheduling. I am willing to travel to you - I unfortunately must charge the official IRS cost of travel (57.5ยข/mile) - the distance to be determined by Google maps. We can meet in a neutral location or your home, as long as someone 18 or older is there as well. I do suggest that it is quiet and free from distraction; pupils are not permitted use of any technology excluding a computer or typing device which must strictly be used as a word processor.

Despite the previous paragraph and the parameters I set forth therein, I am willing to Skype/FaceTime/Google Hangouts if you live in the greater Charlotte area and do not want to incur the cost of travel. However, there is a $5/hour convenience fee. As I won't be there physically to disallow the use of your phone, I will entrust in you the Honor Code.

I may sound strict, but I believe my methods will produce results. I lo" less...
