"Hello, my name is Leo, and I am excited to potentially become your History tutor! I am a second-year student at Gettysburg College, majoring in History and minoring in Civil War Era Studies. I tutor in mainly American History, and I specialize in the 19th Century. I am proficient in the the early 1800's and the beginning of our Nation, the Antebellum decades, The American Civil War, and the post-war Reconstruction era. I am also a reading/writing tutor. In my high school years, I received an A+ in AP US History, and I can help anyone currently taking APUSH. I can teach students how to use MLA format, how to write a thorough persuasive or argumentative essay, and how to analyze historical texts/images. At Gettysburg College, I have taken rigorous American History Courses that have fine tuned my expertise in the 19th century. I am especially adept at teaching the topics of the American Civil War to struggling or highly interested students. I am an experienced tour guide and orator, as I a work part-time at a museum where I give visitors an overview of the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Writing a convincing or engaging essay can be a tough challenge for many students, and as a college student, I am constantly crafting my own arguments into my writings.
