I specialize in tutoring Advanced Placement U.S., European, and World History as well as all other levels of high school history including Dual Enrollment/Credit and college level. I have been studying and teaching history my whole professional life with a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in history. I taught all three AP history offerings in the classroom for five years and have been tutoring AP history on Wyzant since 2014. AP History is a very challenging subject but the help of a good tutor can make a big difference. I personalize my approach by determining the student’s individual goals and how to achieve them during session. Commonly students want essential historical content summary either from the College Board key concepts or from specific textbook chapters. Students also seek guidance with specific homework assignments, papers and projects. Most often I help to prepare for class tests whether it is covering the study guide or discussing the types of prompts they will get and their associated rubrics. Of course, I also help students prepare for the national AP exam.

Students tend to either schedule regular weekly meetings or individual sessions as needed and I do my best to provide flexibility. All my sessions are taught on the Wyzant online learning platform however I will use Google Meets in certain circumstances. I also provide asynchronous history essay editing from high school through PhD level and offer a reduced rate if the editing can be done during normal school hours.
