"I’m currently pursuing my Master of Medical Sciences in Immunology at Harvard Medical School, where I conduct graduate-level research focused on T cell biology. Alongside my research, I mentor undergraduate students in both experimental techniques and data analysis. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Over the years, I’ve built a strong academic foundation in biology, chemistry, and immunology, and I’ve developed a passion for teaching and sharing that knowledge with others.
My tutoring experience has been shaped by a variety of contexts—from one-on-one mentorship and small group sessions to volunteer educational outreach. I’ve worked with high school students preparing for AP Biology and Chemistry, college students working through tough STEM coursework, and even fellow graduate students needing support with immunological concepts. I tailor my approach to each learner, using a combination of Socratic questioning, concept mapping, and active recall strategies to help students truly understand the material rather than just memorize it.
As the oldest of eight siblings, I’ve spent my entire life explaining complex ideas in ways that make sense to a wide range of ages and learning styles. That experience taught me patience, adaptability, and how to create a learning environment that feels both intellectually rigorous and supportive. I’m especially passionate about helping students from underrepresented backgrounds access the tools and confidence they need to succeed in science and beyond." less...
