"I had the privilege of using my career training as an educator with my two children in the Home School setting. My son had autism, and his school journey was very different and fascinating. He graduated and completed a degree at Aiken Tech with top scholarships. My daughter's journey was fascinating in a totally different way. Like her mom, (ME) she is very musical, and is currently at Winthrop University studying Musical Theatre - also with top scholarships.

Helping students stay motivated and engaged has a lot to do with organization, awareness of learning styles, and accountability. Having done this with both my children (both in a tradition setting and special needs) gives me the confidence to help others accomplish this. I am a certified teacher and understand the ins and outs of the program.

I have a love of reading and writing. It is fun helping students realize they can write. I get A's in the classes I take, so I must be doing something right!

I have a degree in piano from Winthrop University. I am Music Director in a local church in which I play piano and organ on a weekly basis. I have taught piano students in the past.

End of the year is the busiest time for students, particularly if the student has waited to the last minute with assignments or is having trouble. Tight organization is key to completing activities in a timely manner. I look forward to hearing from you." less...
