"Hello, my name is Brandon. I am a recent graduate with a degree in political science from Miami University with Cum Laude honors. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbus State Community College with an associate of arts in political science.

As an experienced tutor, with 4 years of experience; I have tutored a variety of students, such as honors students, college students who needed extra help with material. I have also tutored high school and middle school students who were looking to better understand their class material and get better grades. I mostly tutor students on a one-to-one basis which allows me to get a better understanding of the students goals and what they need help with. I then help them through practice problems. I tutored a variety of subjects such as algebra, chemistry, social studies, and history.

I find the most rewarding part of tutoring to be not only improving the test scores of my students; but positively changing their lives as well. It's a proven fact that students do better when they have educators that not only support their academic needs, but their needs outside of the classroom as well. For example, I often give advice to students about choosing a college, how to add time for hobbies in a schedule, as well as helping students navigate social life in school.

I generally teach by giving a thorough review of the content that the student wants to be taught on, I then use increasingly difficult problems to check for proficiency in the subject. If a student gets a problem wrong and does not understand why, I go through step by step so they can discover not only what they got wrong; but also what they can do for future problems.

Some of my scores include a four on the AP US history and AB calculus exams. I got a 3.7 GPA in high school and had a 3.8 GPA at Columbus State, and a 3.90 at Miami University.
