"I have my degree in English and have taught HS English for nearly 30 years—from right here in Chicago to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Monterrey, Mexico—including many years of working with Advanced Placement students as well as Diverse Learners. The study of English literature and writing inevitably requires inferential reading as well as a close study of language and usage—essential skills for SAT and ACT prep, composing College Essays, and HS selective enrollment testing.
