"I’m Abdu, an Emory University graduate and National Guard infantryman who’s spent years helping students finally feel confident in math. I’ve logged over a thousand tutoring hours, scored an 800 on SAT Math, an 800 on SAT Math Level 2, and a 99 on the ASVAB, and I genuinely love the moment when something “clicks” for a student. My rate is intentionally low because I believe good tutoring shouldn’t be out of reach for families—though I can only keep it this affordable for a small number of students, so I’m opening just a few slots.

My background includes completing degrees in Applied Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science at Emory, where I also received the Emory Math Chair Award given to the top undergraduate in mathematics. Before that, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor for Calculus II, Calculus III, and Physics at Daytona State College, spending more than a thousand hours in their tutoring center and receiving the award for Math Supplemental Instructor of the Year. I’ve also presented theoretical machine learning research at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Francisco and mentored a student entering an Economics PhD through a mathematics bridge program.
