"Hello, my name is Duncan S. and I am a 3rd year resident. I am specializing in diagnostic radiology, which uses physics principles to create noninvasive images of patients and then we use those images to diagnose disease and provide critical information to other physicians. Radiology requires a strong background in science, specifically physics, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

I received my undergraduate degree in Medical Lab Science, which is focused on the laboratory diagnosis of disease and requires an in depth knowledge of physiology, pathology, biology, and general science to accurately diagnose diseases.

I tutored while I was in my undergraduate program and I enjoy teaching immensely. I enjoy helping students understand science principles and concepts. I have experience navigating the medical education journey including, undergraduate science courses, studying for the MCAT, and Studying for the USMLE Step exams.

I also understand that learning is hard, and often, the education process is unkind. I prioritize being approachable and understanding that you are learning, and it is ok to feel discouraged. I am here to support you, however you need.
