"I have been teaching secondary math for the past 15 years at a high performing public school in Texas. I have taught every secondary math subject and am currently teaching AP Calculus AB and BC. On average, about 85% of my students receive a 4 or 5 on their AP BC Calculus test. I also coach Academic Decathlon and our team has placed top 5 in Texas for the past two years in a row and 4 of the last 5 years since I have taken over. I also coach a Calculator Applications team that has won 3rd in the state twice over the past 5 years.

For tutoring, I want the students I work with to come ready with what is giving you the most problems in your course. We will talk about what is going on with the math, why it is important and how might this be used in later math courses. We will discuss best practices for getting better at the art of math so that you can feel confident in your course and be able to pursue the mathematical journey of your choosing.
