"I am currently in my 9th year of teaching in a full time position. First, I was contracted as a specialist education teacher at OGHS for 2 years. While there, I co-taught in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. I wrote IEP's for the students on my caseload also.

Next, I transferred to a 3rd grade position at Allison Elementary. I have implemented common core in my classroom across the curriculum. Results of the Smarter Balanced state test were as followed for my grade level: RLA 72% And Math 83%.

I have taught multiple grades levels in Mathematics. I use proper Math vocabulary when teaching materials. Common Core has been successfully implemented in my classroom. This is my 17th year of teaching. I am currently teaching in an 8th grade classroom. I have one class of pre-algebra students and two classes of Algebra students.

I have been implementing 21st century learning in my classroom. I am very knowledgeable and can break concepts down to make them easier to learn.

By using sample test, I can help show a student how to properly take a test. We discuss how to eliminate choices, how to go back in the text and find answers, and how to compose a detailed response to a question.
