"I completed my undergraduate degree in English - Literature & Criticism at UMass Dartmouth, where I carried a 3.96 GPA. Upon graduating, I became an inaugural member of the UMD chapter of Sigma Tau Delta (International English Honor Society) and I received the Augustus Silva scholarship for highest GPA in my major. I was also recommended to the 2023 Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference (MassURC) where I presented my research in two separate English categories.

I have worked in education--first as a secretary and now in a guidance role--for eight years. In this time, on a voluntary basis, I have helped my students navigate not only their high school English curriculum, but the college application process and beyond. Outside of this, I have assisted loved ones with everything from wedding vows and eulogies to retirement speeches and graduate school application essays–one of which led to acceptance at Yale University.

I am an expert when it comes to conducting and incorporating research, and close-reading, critical analysis, and flawless application of MLA format are among my biggest academic strengths—so, I assure you, regardless of your assignment, I’ve got you covered. From the brainstorming process–where we discuss the material/prompts at hand, to the proof-reading and editing process–where I offer detailed feedback and constructive criticism, I will work to help you strengthen the ways in which you read, write, and think.

There is nothing quite like having the ability to articulately and effectively express oneself, or to parse and analyze a text, uncovering a deeper understanding of the literature, and more importantly, of the world. It brings me great joy and fulfillment to help others make meaning and discover and hone their authorial voice. Whether you are a high school or college student or a working professional, I will teach you to not only understand, but to harness the power of the English language. Let’s get to work!" less...
