"I don’t care that your precalculus student still doesn’t know how to add fractions. I don’t care that you never learned how percents work. I don’t care that you depend on a calculator for every single class you’ve ever taken. What I do care about is getting you to succeed, efficiently, starting today.

"I don’t care that your precalculus student still doesn’t know how to add fractions. I don’t care that you never learned how percents work. I don’t care that you depend on a calculator for every single class you’ve ever taken. What I do care about is getting you to succeed, efficiently, starting today.

I've been a professional math tutor since 2003, and I've seen it all. I know how easy it is to fall behind and how frustrating it is when foundational concepts trip you up in your current class. Your past struggles are irrelevant to our success today; my goal is to meet you (or your child) exactly where you are, without judgment, and focus on succeeding in your current class immediately.

Every single lesson is 100% customized to your needs. Sometimes, we'll dive deep into the theoretical "why" to build lasting understanding. Other times, it’s strictly about efficiency: achieving the best possible score on the next test with the minimal, targeted amount of preparation. (Unfortunately but necessarily, this reflects the most common request I receive.) Students appreciate that they can send me an entire review sheet, and we can often cover the whole thing, answering all questions, in a single, highly efficient one-hour session. I often find this is when they finally grasp the material for the very first time. While I don't recommend last-minute cramming, my ability to distill core concepts quickly makes this type of session highly productive.

To maximize our valuable time, I dedicate time before our lesson to research and review your specific problems or curriculum—at no extra cost to you. I consider this preparation part of my ongoing commitment to mastery, as I certainly don’t know everything. And while not absolutely necessary, this is why sending specific problems or a review sheet ahead of time leads to the most productive lessons; when you come prepared, we can jump straight into the material that matters most. Let's get to work!" less...
