"My goal is simple: to make math less intimidating and more enjoyable for students. I have a master's in Computer Science, and a bachelor's in electronics Engineering, where I studied abstract algebra, discrete math, Calculus, and Statistics. My GRE math score was 790/800. I love breaking down complex math concepts into digestible pieces and helping students become confident problem solvers. Understanding numbers isn't just about math—it's about understanding the world. That's why I cover everything from basic algebra to advanced calculus, showing how math connects to other subjects.
I truly believe that anyone can excel in math with the right approach. I start by learning what my students like about math and what they find challenging. Then, I use examples to introduce new concepts and encourage students to practice solving problems until they feel comfortable. Learning Math is akin to learning a language; it requires a lot of practice before you can speak it fluently.
I have taught elementary, middle as well as high-school students in a 1-1 setting, covering pre-algebra, geometry, pre-calculus as well as Calculus. I volunteered in an online mentoring program for an year, helping high-schoolers with homework as well as general guidance in preparing for college.
While I'm happy to help with homework and test preparation, my focus is on guiding students and giving them the tools they need to succeed on their own. I won't be doing the homework for them.
Let's work together to set achievable goals and create a flexible plan that meets your needs. Math doesn't have to be daunting—it can be rewarding and fun." less...
