"Hi, I’m San! I graduated from Brown University with honors in Comparative Literature, where I was awarded the Rosalie Colie Prize for the best honors thesis in the department and the Preston Gurney Prize for outstanding cultural criticism in English. In high school, I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program with a full score of 45/45.

I have experience tutoring high school students in English, literature, and writing, including support for IB coursework. As a tutor, I seek to help students build confidence and clarity in their analytic writing through close engagement with texts—whether literary, academic, or media-based—and collaborative discussion and feedback.

Having completed the IB program myself, I’m especially equipped to support students in IB English Literature SL/HL, IB Language and Literature SL/HL, the Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). My goal is not only to help students improve their skills, but also to share the joy and power of language and literature.
