"Hi everyone, my name is Mo!! I am a tutor with six years of experience helping students build confidence in science, writing, interviewing, and the premed process. I earned my degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at UC Davis with a 3.93 GPA, and I will be starting medical school in the 2026 entering class. Going through the premed path myself taught me how to study efficiently, manage heavy course loads, and balance dozens of deadlines while applying to medical school. I completed forty eight secondary applications, earned multiple interviews, and learned firsthand how admissions committees think. Because my own journey was demanding, I now use those lessons to help students approach the process with clarity, strategy, and confidence.
My teaching background includes one on one tutoring, serving as a learning assistant in chemistry and genetics, and guiding college students through major exams such as the MCAT. I have worked with students from middle school to university level, each with unique learning styles and goals. My approach focuses on simplifying complex ideas, teaching the reasoning behind problems, and giving students structure they can rely on outside of sessions. For students preparing for medical school, I also teach strategies for crafting strong applications, organizing timelines, and preparing for interviews in a way that feels genuine and controlled rather than stressful.
I enjoy tutoring because I know how transformative good guidance can be. Whether someone needs help mastering course content, improving their writing, preparing for interviews, or navigating premed decisions, I work to make learning clear, supportive, and tailored to the student. My goal is to help students understand material deeply, communicate effectively, and walk into their academic or application challenges with the confidence that they can succeed." less...
