"I am an incoming medical student at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Hunter College. While studying high level science and math courses in college and preparing for the MCAT, I learned that doing well academically is not just about knowing the material, but about figuring out how to study effectively. Those experiences shaped the way I tutor. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly while also teaching them how to study, stay organized, and find learning strategies that work best for them.
I started tutoring when I was in high school and have continued for over eight years, working with students from elementary school through high school. Most of my tutoring has been one on one or in small group settings, helping students improve grades in core subjects like math, science, and history, as well as prepare for standardized exams. I take time to identify where students are struggling, reinforce foundational skills, and build confidence through consistent support and practical test taking strategies.
In addition to tutoring, I previously worked as an after school teacher where I developed lessons and facilitated math and reading classes for middle school students, helping them strengthen their skills and improve test scores. I take a patient, supportive, and student centered approach, and I aim to help students build confidence and skills they can carry with them beyond a single class or exam. I am easy to reach, respond quickly to messages, and encourage students and families to reach out with any questions. I am excited to support students as they grow as learners and to be part of that process." less...
