"Hello! I’m David, an incoming MS1 with a passion for helping students succeed across an array of subjects from high school to graduate school. I hold a B.S. in Neural Science (neuroscience) from NYU and a certificate in neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania. I’ve scored 510+ on multiple MCAT exams, and I’ve tutored students in everything from creative writing, history, and college essay preparation to specialized STEM topics like genetics, neuroscience, and anatomy & physiology.
My goal as a tutor is to provide true guidance, not just homework help. Whether we work together for a few sessions or many months, I want you to leave with a clear sense of direction, a deeper understanding of how your subjects fit together, and the confidence and skills to keep learning on your own.
I work with high school and college students in biology, neuroscience, psychology, genetics, anatomy & physiology, and general STEM study skills and exam prep. I also enjoy helping with writing and humanities, including creative writing, history and social sciences, as well as college and graduate school application essays. On the test prep side, I support students preparing for the SAT/ACT (all sections) and the MCAT, with particular strength in CARS, where I consistently scored above the 90th percentile on both practice and official exams.
As an accepted incoming medical student with 10+ MD interview invitations this cycle, I also work with pre-med students on course selection, long-term planning, building a cohesive application narrative, refining personal statements and secondary essays, and preparing for interviews through strategy discussions and mock sessions. My experience is just one data point, but I’m happy to share the mindset, habits, and application choices that I believe helped me stand out in a highly competitive process.
Feel free to message me to connect and see if I may be a good fit for your learning goals!" less...
