"My name is Owen, and I'm passionate about helping students like you excel in science. My journey in the world of science began with a Master's Degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University where I was awarded the prestigious Maynard Award as the school’s most accomplished student-athlete. During my time there, I immersed myself in molecular and cell biology research and had the rewarding experience of being a Teaching Assistant for upper-level neuroscience courses.

For the past 17 years, I've been fortunate to share my love of science with high school students at exceptional independent schools like Polytechnic School and Chadwick School. I've taught a diverse array of subjects, including biology, AP Biology, chemistry, AP Environmental Science, neuroscience, and even integrated physics, chemistry, and biology. Whether working one-on-one or in the classroom, I've gained a deep understanding of how students from grades 8-12 learn science best.

My philosophy is simple: science doesn't have to be intimidating! I thrive on making complex topics approachable and fostering a genuine understanding.
