"Hello, my name is Brianna, and I am excited to begin my tutoring journey on Wyzant. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2009, followed by a Master of Science in Reading and ESOL from Florida Memorial University. My educational background allows me to support students not only academically, but also by understanding how they learn, process information, and build confidence. I am qualified to tutor reading, English, and language development across a wide range of skill levels.

I bring over ten years of teaching experience, including eight years as an elementary school teacher with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and two years as an online tutor. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, and more recently, I have also supported college students in English coursework. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, online instruction, and classroom teaching, allowing me to adapt my methods to each student’s needs and learning style.

I developed a strong passion for online teaching during the 2020–2021 school year, when I successfully transitioned my classroom instruction to a virtual setting. Since then, I have continued tutoring online and have seen consistent student growth. While not all students report back, several have shared improved test scores, passing grades at the end of the school year, and even college acceptance letters. I enjoy the flexibility and accessibility of online tutoring, as it allows students to learn in a supportive environment regardless of time or weather.
