I started teaching when I was an undergraduate at SUNY Binghamton where I was pursuing a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. I worked as a teaching assistant in biology labs for several semesters before moving on to one-on-one tutoring for an additional 3 semesters. I enjoyed tutoring so much that I decided to join a tutoring company after I had completed my degree. At this company I refined my teaching skills and expanded my subjects to include test prep for the SATs, ACTs as well as subject tests. I am now wrapping up a Master's degree in Molecular biology at Lehigh University while also working in the pharmaceutical industry doing vaccine research and I have decided to start tutoring on my own again.

I started tutoring High school math after college when I joined a tutoring agency, I have been tutoring math for over 3 years and have taught the following levels: Algebra 1&2, geometry, pre-calculus, SAT subject test.

My experience tutoring in the sciences started in college when I was both a Teaching Assistant and a tutor at SUNY Binghamton 8 years ago. I continued tutoring these subjects since have have expanded to offer tutoring in the following areas: Biology (high school and college level), Chemistry (high school and introductory college level), physics, as well as SAT subjects in biology, chemistry, and physics, and AP Biology and AP chemistry.

In order to have a productive session, students should send me any information about what they are learning in class such as a syllabus, the name of the textbook, the rubric for a project or the name of the lesson they are working on prior to the beginning of any session. This allows me to plan ahead for the session so that we can just jump right in when the session starts.
