"Hello! My name is Cassidy, and I’m a junior at the University of New Hampshire, working towards my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Anthropology. I’ve maintained a 3.9 GPA and have achieved Dean’s List high honors each semester. I’m also involved in an Evolutionary Physiology research lab, where I collaborate with graduate students and lead my own research project. I’m currently applying for clinical research internships for the summer and hope to pursue a career in biomedical research, focusing on female reproductive care.
One of my greatest passions in college has been collaborating with peers and drawing connections between diverse course content. My research lab integrates various biological disciplines, from cellular biology to bioinformatics, to answer evolutionary and physiological questions about our species of interest. I find it incredibly rewarding to take a holistic approach to science, which I believe leads to a deeper understanding of complex topics that may seem overwhelming at first, especially as they are often taught in public schools.
In addition to my research, I enjoy mentoring and speaking with students who are just beginning their college journeys. I often chat with my younger sister, a freshman at Salve Regina, and her friends, offering guidance based on my own experiences. When I was applying to colleges, I found there was a lot of information but not enough personalized advice. As a current student, I can offer insight on topics like adjusting to college life, finding research opportunities, or choosing a major.
If you're looking for a tutor who is passionate about both the material and helping emerging students succeed, I’d love to work with you. I can offer my extensive knowledge in a variety of biology courses in a way that is compassionate and patient, especially when the course work feels like it is piling up above your head." less...
