"I am a lively Language Arts and Theatre teacher and director with thirty years' experience in schools, a great sense of humor, and a passion for exploring humanity alongside my students. I hold a B.A. from Yale and an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University. I believe in experiential learning, and have taught students of diverse aptitudes across the U.S. and abroad. Having grown up overseas amid languages that were not my own, I was tutored quite a bit myself, and prize the value of one-on-one instruction. As a tutor, I specialize in English Literature, Writing, Reading Comprehension, and French. Although the bulk of my experience has been in high schools, I work with individuals at any skill level, from elementary through graduate school and beyond. I also coach public speaking, as well as auditions, including Shakespeare and musical comedy.
