Back when I was getting ready to write my college application essays, I remember feeling super overwhelmed and lost on where to even begin. I wrote draft after draft and was never satisfied. After nearly giving up, I realized I needed a second set of eyes on my writing. Writing in of itself is hard, but trying to explain the depth of who you are as a person to college admissions is even more difficult. This is where I hope to help my students the most. I like to set up my lessons by getting to know you as a person because I believe this is crucial for perfecting your writing and making your application stand out.
I also understand the struggles of learning a second language and how daunting it can be. I like to structure my classes to be discussion-based. This way, we focus less on grammar and rote memorization, and more on natural conversation and organically navigating the language, similar to how children first acquire their native tongues.
I have over a year of online tutoring experience and have had the privilege of teaching over 130 students. I worked one-on-one with each and every one of my students and adapted my teaching strategies to make sure I could tailor my classes to fit their unique abilities and skill levels.
What I want the most is to see my students succeed. Because of this, I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I always have my computer with me and tend to respond to lesson requests very quickly. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information or to schedule a lesson!" less...
