"Hi everyone!

My name is Robert (Rob) and I have extensive experience as both a peer tutor and teaching assistant.

I originally earned a degree in criminology/pre-law, but during the pandemic decided to pivot to a career in medicine. I recently graduated from Columbia University with a major in Biochemistry, and have experience in the standard medical school science prerequisites.

I’ve tutored extensively in Physics (including dynamics, electromagnetism, and optics), Organic Chemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry. Columbia's math department does not permit calculators, fostering a strong foundational understanding of Calculus.

I’ve served as a teaching assistant in both English (University Writing) and Criminal Law courses (Evidence, Procedure, and Substantive Law)

While I specialize in working with older students, I have always loved working with younger kids as well. I have multiple years of experience coaching youth soccer (both boys and girls), and even worked in the juvenile state prison system before changing my career path to medicine! Most recently, I have finished an internship at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in New York City, where I was a researcher in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
