"I have an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Cambridge, and an MA and a PhD in Literature from the University of Texas-Austin. I am also completing an MA in Jewish Studies, an MA in History, a second Ph.D. in Classics, and a law degree. I have over fifteen years experience working as a tutor for literature and writing (across subjects).

As an English literature and writing specialist, I have tutored students to help them develop their knowledge of various texts and to improve their ability to respond to literature. I currently teach at New York University and have taught at the University of Texas. Concentrating on writing, I have helped students with subjects that include history, politics, education, and the sciences. I have also assisted students at every level, from K-12 through to doctorate level, and helped with exam preparation for the verbal components of the PSAT, ACT, SAT and GRE exams, as well as GCSE, A-level, and International Baccalaureate exams. Extending into other humanities subjects such as history and geography, and languages such as French and German, I also have experience helping students improve understanding of key concepts and keep up with homework assignments.
