"Hi, I'm Shawn! I am a graduate student at Brown University researching physics. I have a dual degree in physics (B.S) and music composition (B.M), and minors in French and mathematics.

I graduated with honors and have experience as a secondary education teacher in physics, mathematics, French, and biomedical science. I am a member of the Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honorary Society. I've researched acoustic wave phenomena and constructed mechanisms for three-dimensional visualization of wave interactions to be incorporated into the classroom. I've done interdisciplinary research on novel mechanisms for structural coloration that has been published in major scientific journals. I've designed innovative lesson plans and labs for high school/college classrooms to incorporate my novel research.

I have 8+ years of experience working as an independent musician. My work experience includes 100+ live performances, 5+ years as a studio musician, booking tours/festivals, producing, mixing, and mastering music that has been released through multiple record labels (10+ million streams), artist management, live sound engineering, professional composition and arrangement, music theory lessons, conducting of ensembles (orchestral and vocal), and more. I am a multi-instrumentalist and have taught piano, guitar, electric bass, and drum lessons. I also have experience giving music composition and songwriting lessons. I have taught and worked in a multitude of genres, including but not limited to classical, jazz, rock, blues, hip-hop, electronic, etc. I have experience with cutting-edge music production and composition techniques and can teach every step of creating and releasing a song.
